All Tech Is Human is a non-profit committed to growing the Responsible Tech ecosystem and uniting a diverse range of stakeholders to co-create a better tech future. Founded in 2018, we have quickly expanded to launch a mentorship program, Responsible Tech Job Board, community Slack group of over 2.9k members, regular open working groups (latest one on AI & Human Rights has 300+ members), reports, summits & mixers, university ambassadors program, and the Responsible Tech Guide (our flagship resource). We are currently supported by the Ford Foundation, Patrick J. McGovern Foundation, Susan Crown Exchange, and Pivotal Ventures, the investment arm of Melinda French Gates.
Current activities include a tech policy mixer alongside the Tony Blair Institute (April 27th in SF), AI & Human Rights working group releasing a report in June, Public Interest Technology Career Fair happening on May 12th, and our Responsible Tech Summit: Improving Digital Spaces happening in NYC on May 20th. Position Title: Program Associate at All Tech Is Human

Reports to: Founding Director
Status: Full-time, Exempt
Salary range: $50-$60k
Position Summary
All Tech Is Human seeks a skilled and passionate individual with knowledge management experience and familiarity with the Responsible Tech movement and our organization to fulfill our Program Associate position. Outside of knowledge management, this associate should be committed to our organization’s mission of building the Responsible Technology ecosystem, and experienced in project management, administration, and communications. The successful candidate will help expand All Tech Is Human’s impact and will have an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the field of Responsible Technology and develop relationships with stakeholders across industry, academia, government, and civil society. Some of our key programs at All Tech Is Human include running a large Slack group for the community, holding regular in-person and virtual gatherings, our Responsible Tech University Ambassadors program, mentorship program, regular working groups that develop reports, our Responsible Tech Guide, and our job board. Our activities fall under three main categories: Convening stakeholders/community-building, Education, and Talent Pipelines.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Knowledge & Project Management
Keep track of ongoing partner and funder relationships
Stay abreast of developments in the Responsible Tech ecosystem
Manage ongoing grant submissions and opportunities
Help organize All Tech Is Human’s wide range of relationships
Administration
Assist Founder & Director David Ryan Polgar in administrative tasks, such as outreach, people management, and developing documents for current funders, prospective funders, and prospective partners.
Create documents and visuals for funder presentations.
Follow-through on timelines for grant submissions
General Communications for All Tech Is Human
Assist with Newsletter
Assist with Website updates
Represent All Tech Is Human at virtual and New York-based events
All employees of Hopewell (our fiscal sponsor) are required to complete timesheets. And given the in-person nature of this role, being vaccinated against Covid-19 is a requirement.
Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Ability
Bachelor’s degree
Excellent oral presentation, writing, and interpersonal skills;
Experience in project management or administration
Demonstrated organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while meeting deadlines
Proficiency with - Google Apps, Slack, Squarespace, Substack, Canva. Familiarity with Zoom, Google Meet, Airtable, Asana a plus
Proven ability to think analytically, strategically and with agility to translate ideas and insights into action through coherent and viable program work;
Extensive past experience managing a collection of multiple independent projects;
Demonstrated organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while meeting deadlines;
Experience working with a range of individuals in nonprofit organizations, government, foundations, and private sectors;
Sophisticated knowledge and use of technology and varying digital platforms;
Commitment to All Tech Is Human’s mission, vision, core values, theory of change, and unique positioning in the field;
Demonstrated experience working effectively as part of a team and with colleagues of diverse backgrounds and perspectives;
Proven self starter, organizer and evaluator;
Grantwriting experience a plus
Fluent in English.
