OECD, Science, Technology and Innovation Directorate (STI) - Senior Economist/Policy Analyst - Data Governance and Privacy [Paris]
“STI/DEP is looking for a motivated Senior Policy Analyst/Economist to join the Digital Economy Policy Division in charge of the portfolio on data governance and privacy. This includes leading the OECD’s team of policy, economic and legal experts tackling the complexities of data governance and privacy in the digital age.”
In this role, you will “develop and implement a vision for the OECD as a leading forum for setting and implementing norms and standards to advance trust, at the domestic and international levels, through data governance and privacy policy recommendations, evidence and measurement. The position will include a leading the OECD’s work on data policies in other international forums including the G7 and the G20.”
The successful candidate will have “An advanced university degree in public policy, law, economics, or a related subject,” as well as “A minimum of eight years’ experience in international comparative policy and quantitative analysis in the areas of privacy, data governance and/or data policies.”
The role is a “Two-year fixed term appointment, with the possibility of renewal,” and the closing date is December 2nd.

Stanford Impact Labs - Associate Director, Undergraduate Program in Data Science & Social Systems [Stanford]
“Stanford is launching a new undergraduate major in Data Science & Social Systems, designed for students who want to work at the intersection of statistics, computation, and the social sciences…The degree is intended to prepare students for work in a range of industries that require integrating quantitative thinking with an understanding of human behavior or public policy and for careers in the public and social sectors where data-intensive approaches are increasingly prized. We are building out the leadership team of the new program now, as we prepare for its official launch in Fall 2022.”
“The Associate Director will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the new major. They will work closely with the Faculty Director to design the curriculum, coordinate new course offerings, develop practicum opportunities, secure internship opportunities, and lead co-curricular cohort activities. They will also be a key mentor to undergraduates in the program, both as an advisor and the leader of the practicum program.”

“We are a team at Carnegie Mellon University (in Pittsburgh) across the School of Computer Science and the Heinz College of Public Policy focused on using AI, machine learning, and data science to have a positive and equitable impact on society. Our interdisciplinary group works at the intersection of research, practice, and education to improve society and public policy.”
“Are you passionate about data science and social impact? We are currently searching for a Senior Data Scientist with experience working on real-world problems, and a passion for social impact. “
“Senior Data Scientists will guide educational/training programs, applied research projects with government agencies and non-profits in education, public health, criminal justice, environment, economic development and international development, and research in areas such as interpretability, bias and fairness, and other machine learning methods focused on problems in social sciences and public policy with a strong emphasis on releasing the work through open source code, shared curriculum, and publications.”

Princeton University, Kahneman-Treisman Center for Behavioral Science & Public Policy - Sugarman Practitioner in Residence/Visiting Fellow [Princeton]
“The Center seeks candidates for our inaugural Sugarman Practitioner in Residence position with an expected start date in January 2022, or soon thereafter. The successful applicant will be appointed to a term of up to 18 months based on their individual circumstances and availability. The ideal Sugarman Resident will be pursuing a breakthrough solution to a society-relevant problem, the success of which depends on understanding certain aspects of human behavior, and which could benefit from the support, guidance, and mentorship of members of Princeton's academic community."
“The Practitioners in Residence we envision may range from young entrepreneurs, app developers, leaders of non-governmental organizations, and policy wonks, to activists, climate scientists, leaders of social, cultural, or health-related movements, architects, designers, urban planners, and so on. Residents will be engaged in a project of their own proposing that can benefit from the application of behavioral science tools and insights. Applicants need not be U.S. citizens and need not have held an academic appointment or have an advanced degree.”
“Applicants should have a clear problem statement and propose a project to be the focus of the residency. We are not looking for research proposals; projects should be designed to yield a product, app, campaign, or other constructive intervention. Completion of the project is not necessary during the residency, though the hope is that much forward progress will be realized through interaction with the Princeton community.”
“During the appointed term, the Sugarman Resident will be affiliated with Princeton University, but with no formal teaching responsibilities. Like an "artist-in-residence" program, this position will provide the resident practitioner a sanctuary from the everyday responsibilities that can impede breakthrough thinking, along with the opportunity to deepen engagement with the behavioral sciences and related policy tools through collaboration with university faculty. A $51,000 stipend is provided for a 6-month appointment in the rank of Visiting Fellow, renewable up to three consecutive terms. Full-time residency is not required, however Residents should be on campus enough throughout the appointment period to facilitate meaningful engagement with Princeton faculty, fellows, and students, who, the hope is, will benefit from the Resident's knowledge and applied approach.”
Georgetown University, Center for Digital Ethics - Chair, Technology, Ethics and Society [Washington, D.C.]
“Georgetown University is launching a new Center for Digital Ethics (digitalethics.georgetown.edu), which will combine researchers from computer and data sciences with researchers from the humanities, law, and social sciences, to advance frameworks and solutions for digital technologies for the betterment of humanity.”

Vote.org - Software Engineer [Remote]
“Vote.org is hiring a Software Engineer to help us build the tools that will permanently increase voter turnout in the United States of America.”
“This is a full-stack role and we are looking for applicants that have prior software engineering experience, but we recognize that experience can come in many forms.”
The successful candidate should have “Experience developing modern web applications. Most of our codebase uses Ruby on Rails and our static site uses Gatsby, a framework that includes React. If you don’t have specific experience with these frameworks, we hope you’re excited to learn them!”

Mae Health- Head of Product [Remote]

“We are looking for a Head of Product who is passionate about women’s health to join our team.”
In this role, you will be responsible for a “Definition of Mae’s product strategy and roadmap,” and “Close collaboration with Mae’s engineering team to advance agile design against our product roadmap.”
The ideal candidate has “5+ years of product management experience launching high-growth products (ideally in healthcare),” and “A depth of understanding - or aptitude to quickly learn - behavioral and human-centered product design.”
