Senior Policy Adviser, The Royal Society

The Royal Society is looking for an experienced policy professional to take up a senior role across its portfolios of work on data and digital technologies. Based in the Science Policy directorate, in the Data team, the successful candidate will work with Fellows of the Royal Society, and other leading thinkers, to develop and promote independent, expert, and timely advice to UK, European, and international decision makers in matters of science policy.


AI Public Policy Content Manager, EY

As Assistant Director, you will work with other members of the GPP team and with other EY colleagues to help advance EY’s AI-related public policy priorities primarily through contributing to the production of written materials (such as AI thought-leadership papers, Points of View, talking points and presentations), and managing these resources. You will also work with the Brand, Marketing and Communications colleagues to help ensure that public messaging which touches on AI public policy matters is attuned to the latest developments and at the highest level of quality. These materials will be used both for EY leaders’ internal meetings and meetings with key external parties, including policymakers, regulators, legislators, standard-setters, trade association members, and other stakeholders. The role will provide you with opportunities to develop subject matter expertise on important matters for EY, as well as to work collaboratively with EY experts from multiple service lines and geographies.     


Product Policy Lead, Multimodal GenAI, Google

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of Google’s products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. Associate General Counsel, Data Governance, The Trade Desk

The main focus of this role will be to maintain and enhance the company’s data governance program, covering all key regions globally, in partnership with your legal colleagues.

You will be responsible for maintaining, designing and implementing internal and external processes and policies that ensure the company stays up to date with its data governance obligations. This will include closely collaborating with privacy, product counsel, and commercial data attorneys (as well as cross-functional teams) to build and standardize internal information sharing and record-keeping workflows with respect to personal data being processed by the company. This will also include maintaining external data privacy disclosures (such as privacy policies and any other public data compliance / security statements) as well as internal privacy documentation (DPIAs, ROPAs, LIAs) pertaining to such data processing activities, and owning the cross-functional coordination process for all changes and updates to that documentation.


Policy Analyst: AI and Emerging Technology, Steampunk

Steampunk is looking for a mature, thoughtful Policy Analyst to contribute to and develop policy, standards, and standard operating procedures that ensure federal clients can implement safe, secure, equitable, and privacy-enhancing AI. The Policy Analyst will work a alongside data scientists, responsible AI experts, and cybersecurity leaders to navigate AI’s complex risks and opportunities and develop leading-edge solutions. Reporting to the AI Policy Subject Matter Expert/AI Policy Program Lead, the Policy Analyst will play a key role in translating responsible AI principles into practice and building the foundations of AI governance from the ground up. The Policy Analyst will bring excellent communication, problem solving, and analytical skills, and a passion for developing practical solutions to technology’s most complex challenges.


Associate (Senior Associate) for Artificial Intelligence Security Policy, Institute For Security And Technology

IST seeks individuals who are eager to apply both policy and technical knowledge and experience to advance the field of AI security policy. As an Associate (or Senior Associate), you will play a pivotal role in driving IST’s research efforts at the intersection of AI, information security, and other emerging technologies. You'll have the opportunity to directly impact policy recommendations for national security leaders, regulatory agencies, the intelligence community, and other government and industry stakeholders. This role offers the chance to engage with multidisciplinary project teams, including policy researchers, engineers, and research scientists to address complex AI security challenges where technical details are paramount. IST values objectivity and high-quality, rigorous analysis to ensure that IST’s research remains at the forefront of the field.


Strategy Director, Digital Action

The Strategy Director will be responsible for Digital Action’s programmes for international tech accountability changemaking. You will ensure Digital Action is a strategic leader and movement-builder within global tech accountability, increasing the effectiveness and impact of the whole field by supporting partners and building bridges between centres of tech harm and centres of tech power.


Tech Policy Fellows, University of California, Berkeley

The UC Berkeley Tech Policy Fellows program offers scholars and practitioners the opportunity to spend the 2024-2025 academic year as a non-residential fellow at UC Berkeley to conduct research; share expertise and experiences with faculty, staff, and students; and develop technical or policy interventions that support responsible technology development and use. 


Legal and Policy Researcher (Remote). Tech Justice Law Project

Responsibilities include…

  • Review amicus briefs filed in key cases and draft analyses for publication in a tech media outlet

  • Undertake legal research and drafting on important tech accountability cases in US courts

  • Attend US Supreme Court or appellate court oral arguments in key social media accountability cases, take notes during oral argument, and publish blog posts


Digital Methods and Policy Manager, Institute for Strategic Dialogue

The Digital Methods & Policy Manager / Senior Manager plays a pivotal role within the organisation, supporting the Director of the Digital Analysis Unit (DAU) in methods development and standardisation. Their responsibilities include leading the creation of new digital research methodologies to monitor risks and assess platform mitigations that involve the analysis of large-scale social media data, including by leveraging new data access mechanisms, resources and transparency data made available through the EU’s Digital Service Act (DSA).
