Senior Software Engineer, AI Forensics

AI Forensics is a European non-profit which investigates influential and opaque algorithms, to defend digital rights. For that, AI Forensics seek creative ways to collect data from Big Tech platforms and to expose digital violations of human rights. You will co-lead the development of AI Forensics’ Digital Evidence Infrastructure, which tests and monitors the behaviour of algorithms on large platforms, such as commercial Conversational Large Language Models, and the TikTok For You Page.


Civic Innovation Lab Manager, BetaNYC

The BetaNYC Civic Innovation Lab is seeking a full-time Lab Manager to join its team. The Lab Manager will have the opportunity to collaborate with a small team and to gain experience in working with data and technology in the context of civic engagement in New York City. Through research and data assistance within the Civic Innovation Lab, the Lab Manager will have the opportunity to work on data-driven projects that range from topics, including: education, transportation, the environment, and community advocacy. The Civic Innovation Lab supports the personal growth of all staff with professional exposure to developing research skills, analyzing open data, community organizations, programming, policy advocacy, communication, and network building.


Program Assistant, Aspen Institute, Tech Policy Hub

The Program Assistant provides operational, administrative, communications, and events support to Aspen Tech Policy Hub programs. Responsibilities will include supporting finance, contracting, and other operational processes; supporting the Hub’s recruitment and rebranding efforts in the fall of 2024; supporting writing and editing efforts; and assisting in special projects such as curriculum development. The Program Assistant will work closely with the small Hub team and will benefit from close mentorship from Hub and Aspen Digital leadership. They will also attend most Hub training program sessions, giving them exposure to critical skills in policy advocacy and policymaking, and the opportunity to hear from exciting guest speakers and policy leaders. 


Director of Platform Engineering, Archive Internet

Archive Internet is looking for a Director of Platform Engineering who is production-focused and hands-on, adept at managing teams and engaging in cross-functional projects. The perfect candidate will provide strong, collaborative technical leadership, driving service improvement, overseeing projects from inception to launch, ensuring operational stability, and championing testing and deployment best practices. Outstanding communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a remote team of engineers, organization leadership, and program staff are also essential. Reports directly to Brewster Kahle, founder of the Internet Archive. Salary dependent on experience.


Proposal Manager, Truss

The Proposal Manager will join Truss’s Growth and Digital Solutions team and manage the writing and development of winning proposals. Your daily responsibilities will encompass structuring and executing timely responses to solicitations in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), project managing a fully remote team, and leading responses to design/coding challenges. Key duties include dissecting procurement requirements, orchestrating schedules, serving as lead writer/editor and mastering compliance frameworks to ensure Truss delivers responses that are both compliant and tell a compelling story.
