Responsible Tech London 2024: Overview and Videos

Responsible Tech London: A Better Tech Future For Youth was a landmark gathering featuring more than 250 people across academia, civil society, government, and industry, designed to explore the ways we can build a better tech future for youth through cross-sector collaboration.

The evening featured opening remarks from Baroness Joanna Shields OBE, Areeq Chowdhury (Head of Policy, Data and Digital Technologies, The Royal Society), Anna Rafferty (Senior Vice President, the LEGO Group), and David Ryan Polgar (Founder and President, All Tech Is Human). Responsible Tech London: A Better Tech Future For Youth also featured two panel discussions. The first panel, Beyond Safety: Fostering Wellbeing, Belonging, and Positive Digital Interactions for Children featured Catherine Knibbs (Human Behaviour Technologist and Trauma Therapist), Sonia Livingstone (Professor in the Department of Media and Communications and Director of Digital Futures for Children Centre at London School of Economics), Katy M. (Director of Public Policy, Playstation), Maximilian Milovidov (Youth Ambassador to the Children's Commissioner for England), and moderated by Alex Holmes (Deputy CEO, The Diana Award; Director, BBC Children in Need).

The second panel, The Future of Play: AI, Ethics, and Building a Safe Digital Playground for Children featured Chanell Daniels (Responsible AI Manager, Digital Catapult), Mhairi Aitken (Ethics Fellow, The Alan Turing Institute), June Brawner, PhD (Senior Policy Adviser, The Royal Society), and was moderated by Pearlé Nwaezeigwe (Affiliate, All Tech Is Human).
