Engineering Manager, FAR AI

The Engineering Manager will play a crucial role to build and oversee a team of Research Engineers, who are working to ensure the safe and responsible development of advanced artificial intelligence systems.

Key responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership and Management. Lead and grow our team of Research Engineers from 3 to 6 FTE.

  • Strategy. Contribute to the strategic planning of research projects, ensuring alignment with FAR’s goals and objectives.

  • Project Management. Oversee the project lifecycle from start to finish, working closely with all members of our research teams (Advisors, Engineers, Scientists) inside and outside of FAR.

AI Policy Analyst - Member Delivery, Responsible AI Institute

Reporting to the Director of Policy and Delivery, the ideal candidate will have a background in (technology) policy, strong writing and analytical skills, experience in consulting or client-facing engagement, and an interest in furthering responsible and trustworthy technology. 

Responsibilities include…

  • Member Engagement: You will partner and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams at RAI member organizations to deliver RAI Institute’s assessments (organizational maturity assessment, system assessment, supplier assessment), including scheduling, organizing, and facilitating assessment workshops and developing reports, policies, recommendations, and presentations.

  • Assessment Development: You will play an active role in developing RAI Institute’s assessments and mapping product and governance standard requirements to regulatory frameworks like the EU AI Act, ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF, and sector-specific frameworks.

Congressional AI (Artificial Intelligence) Intern, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi

Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (IL-08) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Congressional AI Intern. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and public policy. The ideal candidate is skilled in computer science and coding and can assist our office in developing tools and strategies for utilizing AI in the office. Additionally, they should have an interest in policy to assist in legislative initiatives related to AI.


Applied Scientist, AWS Responsible AI, Amazon

As a scientist on the AWS team, you will:

  • Understand in depth the technical and scientific issues related to controllability, safety, fairness, privacy, security, robustness, explainability, and/or transparency,

  • Advance the science and practice of responsible AI, working along AWS service teams,

Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer, U.S. Office of Personnel Management

Learning & Insights Lead, Patrick J. McGovern Foundation

As part of PJMF’s efforts to enable broad-based civil society and nonprofit participation in the use of AI and other digital technologies, the Learning & Insights Lead will design and maintain training and other technical assistance services that enable nonprofits to progress in their AI journey. Working closely with in-house data scientists, software engineers, and AI strategists, the Lead will create comprehensive collateral, including slides, memos, and online learning materials that help nonprofits move from curiosity and exploration to development and implementation of AI tools. Using expertise in instructional design, the Lead’s responsibilities will include creating reading guides and materials for partner training, and facilitating advising and coaching services through various formats, including AI workshops, nonprofit learning clusters, and thought leadership presentations. The Lead will also support technical content development, capturing processes and lessons learned from PJMF’s in-house product development team. This position reports to the VP of Strategy & Innovation and plays a pivotal role in enhancing the educational outreach and impact of PJMF's initiatives.


Tech Policy Fellowship 2024-25, Tech Global Institute

Fellows collaborate closely with community organizations to study, articulate, and propose meaningful local or region-centric frameworks to address existing platform or technology related policy problems that have disproportionate negative impact on historically excluded communities in the Global Majority. Through this partnership, fellows play a critical role in building local capacity while ensuring their interventions are embedded in lived experiences of communities. We support fellows with professional development and public speaking opportunities. 


Senior Product Manager, Arthur
