Personal Information Management Engineering Supervisor, State of Illinois

The Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) is seeking to hire qualified candidates with the opportunity to work in a dynamic, creative thinking, problem solving environment. This position serves as the Personal Information Management (PIM) Engineering Supervisor providing direction, support, and project leadership for department staff. In this position you will organize, direct, and control the activities with a highly functional support team in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of the various PIM solutions and applications. The ideal candidate will work closely with DoIT senior leadership to ensure that DoIT’s overall goals and objectives are met. The PIM Engineering Supervisor will establish and maintain policies, procedures, and standards in the pursuit of continuous service improvements. This roll is both challenging and exciting as there are many platforms maintained by DoIT PIM that require an energized and dynamic person to motivate and lead the team.


Communications and Technologies Project Manager, San Francisco Department of Emergency Management

The Communications and Technologies Project Manager position operates within the Management Team of the Bay Area Urban Areas Security Initiative (UASI). The Bay Area UASI Program, a division of the San Francisco Department of Emergency Management (DEM), is responsible for managing Homeland Security grant distribution to the twelve counties of the Bay Area UASI region.

Under the direction of the Regional Program Manager, the Communications and Technologies Regional Project Manager develops regional programs and leads project planning efforts for the UASI grant funded National Priority Areas of cybersecurity and countering domestic violent extremism (DVE). This position builds public-private and other strategic partnerships; defines organizational structure; manages outside agencies, consultants and vendors; coordinates Bay Area UASI planning, training and exercise functions to meet FEMA and the National Homeland Security Program goals and objectives; coordinates, plans, and facilitates meetings; serves as department representative and subject-matter expert involving regional projects; makes decisions on programmatic policies and procedures; prepares and presents on related topics to diverse stakeholders; and performs related duties as required.

Policy Fellows at Tech Global Institute work with staff, affiliate networks, senior fellows and community partners on a 6-month paid structured policy research project focused on one or more of our thematic areas. Each fellow is assigned to a mentor with whom they work together to shape their project, and produce a range of outputs, including (but not limited to) white papers, peer-reviewed publications, op-eds, community events or workshops, and other public interest scholarship or engagements.
