The Agentic Shift: Navigating the New Human-AI Workflow

All Tech Is Human, in collaboration with the Notre-Dame IBM Tech Ethics Lab, is holding two workshops in July in NYC on Agentic AI.

As artificial intelligence transitions from a passive tool to an active agent with the advent of agentic AI, the fundamental nature of how we work is undergoing a profound transformation. 

Here at All Tech Is Human, we recognize that this "Agentic Shift" is more than just a technological upgrade; it is a societal and organizational evolution that requires diverse perspectives and thoughtful stewardship. To help meet the moment, we are putting together two workshops.

This July, in collaboration with the Notre Dame - IBM Tech Ethics Lab, we are hosting a timely workshop series in New York City designed to bridge the gap between technological & business potential and real human experiences, ensuring that we adequately wrestle with the financial and ethical tensions inherent with this shift.

Our series kicks off on Monday, July 13, with a gathering of fifty mid-level professionals from a broad range of backgrounds and disciplines. These individuals represent the lived experience of the AI transition; those who may be currently navigating or anticipating significant changes in their daily workflows due to foundation models and/or agentic systems. This session is dedicated to surfacing the ground-level realities of human-AI collaboration, identifying the frictions of transition, and surfacing strategies that may empower the workforce rather than displace it. On Tuesday, July 14, the conversation moves toward organizational leadership and governance. We will bring together 20–30 senior executives who are currently standing at the crossroads of automation. Whether you are navigating the complexities of adoption, facing regulatory bottlenecks, dealing with internal reorgs or downsizing, and/or weighing the decision to automate core processes, this executive roundtable offers a high-level forum to discuss the ethics of efficiency and the push towards “AI-first” or “AI-native” transformations. Our workshop aims to surface the process, knowledge, tensions, and skill gaps. Together, we will explore how leadership can drive innovation while maintaining the trust and integrity essential to the modern enterprise. Express your interest below.

This workshop series is being led by Jen Weedon, a member of All Tech Is Human’s Braintrust. Jen is a Trust & Safety, security, and Responsible AI leader with over 15 years of experience spanning intelligence, product development, and technology policy. She has led global efforts to address some of the most complex online harms, including child safety, human exploitation, influence operations, surveillance, and emerging AI risks, combining operational leadership with long-term strategy. Jen is also a lecturer and researcher at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, where she teaches graduate-level courses on trust and safety and conducts research on red teaming, AI evaluation, and public-interest AI. She is a Founding Fellow at the Integrity Institute, a member of the Trust and Safety Professional Association, and an academic member of the Global Network Initiative, reflecting her commitment to advancing cross-industry standards and collaboration.

Learnings from the workshop series will be synthesized into a white paper that will arrive in mid-September.
