Slack Community Feedback

At All Tech Is Human, we value our community, creating healthy digital spaces, and building an environment where we can dig into complex, multifaceted, and nuanced tech issues with a focus on bringing the best out of humanity. But that’s not always easy, straightforward, or clean when you are intentionally inclusive and convening so many different people, especially in a rapidly growing digital space.

We took a moment to dig into this and reflect on our community strategy and practices. Our current guidelines must be refined to handle community discussions on extremely nuanced topics.

Our intention for All Tech Is Human’s Slack community is to have a space where you find people and ideas you agree with, along with the expression of ideas that you may disagree with. Our challenge is to allow for the robust flow of ideas while always maintaining a space where you feel safe and respected. This is a complex challenge that affects every online community, which is why we are setting out always to listen and adjust where it’s needed.

To that end, we have been working to update our community guidelines and content moderation strategy in a balanced way that promotes spirited, respectful discourse while maintaining safety. We are looking for youryou thoughts on this process! We ask that you:

  • Take a few minutes to read the draft code of conduct.

  • Share your thoughts in this feedback form.

  • RSVP to attend one (or more) of our virtual or in-person sessions to discuss your thoughts. Session times below:
