Responsible Tech Mentorship: upcoming livestream on Sept 28

Are you looking to find mentorship in the rapidly-evolving Responsible Tech field? Or would you like to learn how you can pay your experience forward by mentoring others? Whether it’s Responsible AI, Trust & Safety, Tech & Democracy, Public Interest Technology, or youth/tech/wellbeing, there are a wide range of newish careers cropping up to tackle thorny tech & society issues.

Join All Tech Is Human on Wed, Sept 28th at 1pm ET for our livestream on Responsible Tech: Finding Mentorship Opportunities.

We will be discussing learnings from our most recent cohort of 135 mentees and 45 mentors, along with our soon-to-open application for the next cohort! This livestream is an excellent opportunity to hear directly from All Tech Is Human Program Director Rebekah Tweed, who runs the mentorship program, ask questions, and hear from three of our recent mentors, including:

Sneha Deo, Responsible AI Lead at Microsoft

"I love translating human problems into the language of math so that we can use AI to drive the right solutions for the broadest and deepest-felt pain points. I'm currently a PM at Microsoft, where I drive Responsible AI efforts for the Experiences + Devices organization. I'm also a contributor to the Montreal AI Ethics Institute and advisor to the AI Policy Exchange Research Network. Building meaningful products starts with deep curiosity about the human condition.

I've found I'm better able to feed that curiosity when I break out of the tech bubble, so I've found complementary roles in non-profit leadership. I've worked on increasing voter turnout and civic engagement for South Asians in Washington State with SAAT-WA, improving oversight of policing practices in San Francisco with the League of Women Voters SF, and addressing access and equity in education on the board of the Hatch School, a new independent school in Seattle."

Kevin Fumai, Assistant General Counsel at Oracle

Kevin Fumai is an Assistant General Counsel at Oracle, where he oversees the legal affairs of three lines of business. He focuses on cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and other emerging technologies, including with respect to data privacy and cybersecurity.
