Policy Design Manager, Integrity and Authenticity, Anthropic

As a Trust and Safety policy manager, you will be responsible for helping develop and manage policies for Anthropic’s products and services. Safety is core to Anthropic’s mission and as an early member of the team, you’ll help shape policy creation and development so that users can safely interact with and build on top of Anthropic’s products in a harmless, helpful and honest way.


Senior Advisor, Cyber Command, City of New York

The Senior Advisor will work closely with the NYC Cyber Command executive team on policy, governance, communication, and special projects on behalf of the division. The Senior Advisor will assist in overseeing and supervising staff, including leading cyber workforce planning, resource management, stakeholder management efforts, and policy reviews. The Senior Advisor will also manage cross-function projects and programs.


Legal Fellow, Summer 2024, Wikimedia Foundation

The Foundation faces a myriad of legal issues ranging from complex copyright questions to international freedom of speech issues to mobile development to internal corporate compliance. Because of the wide array of legal issues, legal fellows will be assigned challenging projects based on their particular interests and strengths. These projects range from researching various legal questions to drafting licensing agreements to developing internal and external policies. 

Each fellow will receive individualized projects that they will be expected to spearhead under the supervision and guidance of an attorney from the Legal Department.

Fellows will work closely with their supervising attorney - attending and participating in internal and external meetings, collaborating on projects, receiving feedback and support, and generally learning about the practical dimensions of practicing law in-house at a web-based company.

When the opportunity exists, the Legal Department will work with a fellow's university to facilitate earning academic credits and/or receiving funding for the fellow's time at the Wikimedia Foundation.


Campaigns Manager, Technology Reform, Issue One

The Campaign Manager, Technology Reform will be instrumental in leading Issue One and the Council for Responsible Social Media’s advocacy and policy efforts on artificial intelligence and national security. This position will require experience and/or subject matter expertise on technology reform, particularly on issues related to generative AI, national security, and the impact of social media on democracy.


Lead Data Scientist, Armilla Assurance

Model evaluation at Armilla is about leveraging state-of-the-art model testing, evaluation and validation practices to assess the quality and reliability of AI models and systems. We are seeking an experienced data and/or AI scientist with a proven track record conducting model assessments and leading client-facing projects dealing with a broad range of AI applications.


Open-Source Community Manager, Giga

Giga is an initiative to connect every school in the world to the Internet and every young person to information, opportunity and choice. The Open Source Community Manager will lead the growth of Giga’s open source community and will make sure that its products follow open source principles, best practices and standards.


Technology Policy Strategist, NYU

The Brennan Center seeks a creative policy advisor and strategist to join its Elections & Government team working on issues related to AI safety and elections, election disinformation, and technology policy that strengthens democratic institutions, election security, and encourages participation in the democratic process. The advocate may also work on the intersection of technology and other democracy issues, such as election administration, voting, and money in politics. 


Senior Product Manager - Responsible AI Applied Science, Microsoft

As a Senior Product Manager in Responsible AI Applied Science, you will partner with applied scientists and researchers to develop, implement, and ship advanced multi-modal mitigation solutions for emerging Responsible AI risks including new state of the art AI models and other mitigation techniques like prompt engineering. Additionally, you will be responsible for designing AI systems that can effectively measure Responsible AI risks at scale. 

This role requires a deep understanding of Generative AI use cases, Responsible AI and/or the Content Moderation and Trust and Safety space, a keen sense of product to identify the right problem and build the right solution, and good technical background to collaborate with scientists and engineers on AI development. 


Director of Operations, Tech Coalition

The Tech Coalition is seeking its first Director of Operations to lead its efforts in driving operational excellence and efficiency in the pursuit of its mission. The Director of Operations will work closely with the executive team and board of directors to develop and implement strategic initiatives, streamline internal processes, and oversee day-to-day operations to ensure the Coalition’s success in ending online child sexual abuse and exploitation. This role requires an exceptional leader with a strong operational background and a deep commitment to our mission.


Generative AI Technologist-in-Residence, US Digital Response

Generative AI (gen AI) is influencing the work of government at all levels - from the recent White House Executive Order on the development and use of AI to work happening in cities and states across the country. And there’s near universal acknowledgement that no one knows exactly how best governments can and should leverage these models to improve government operations and service delivery.

The Generative AI Technologist-in-Residence is a high impact role at USDR that will set the overall direction and then lead the delivery of how USDR helps governments make the best use of gen AI for improved operations and service delivery. In this role, you will meet with state and local governments across the U.S. to discover the problems they’re facing and explore what value gen AI may be able provide. Based on this discovery, you will be part of shaping the work of a collaborative multidisciplinary team to prototype use cases for governments and identify opportunities for repeatable and scalable solutions. We recognize that this technology is quickly evolving, and the goal is to apply the latest advancements in an effective, ethical way.
