Resident Program Director-Sahel (Chief of Party), The National Democratic Institute

The National Democratic Institute of International Affairs (NDI) seeks a Resident Program Director to serve as Chief of Party on a forthcoming USAID-funded program. The project director would manage a regional project to strengthen cross-border collaboration throughout the Sahel and neighboring countries to increase societal resilience to disinformation and propaganda. The successful candidate will oversee a regional Community of Practice comprised of country-specific CSO partners from across the region, as well as a large sub-granting program aimed at building whole-of-society resiliency to information manipulation. The Resident Program Director will also design and implement capacity-building activities for civil society partners to help them effectively conduct programming and support their local communities.


Initiatives Lead and Strategic Integration, AI and Digital Technologies, World Economic Forum

The Lead will report to the Digital Technologies Portfolio Manager. The role will also work with key stakeholders across the Forum, including other Centre teams. The Lead will get an opportunity to work closely with a broad range of external stakeholders, including governments, businesses, social enterprises, and international organizations.


Technical Project Manager (Remote), OpenMinded

As a Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of our remote data science and networking product, PySyft (9.1K Github stars, currently deployed at Microsoft, United Nations, and more). You will drive the product direction and roadmapping, collaborating with Engineers, UX Designers and UX Researchers to deliver a high-quality product that meets our users' needs.

In this role, you will have a front seat in interfacing with OpenMined's strategic partners in government, academia and industry. You will work closely with them to collect new product priorities, align on a deployment strategy and ensure a successful integration with PySyft. This is a unique opportunity to build infrastructure that was never created before and get involved with cutting edge R&D projects.


Director, Data Privacy & Security Legal, Netflix

Netflix is seeking to hire a Director on its Data Privacy & Security Legal team, to be based in Los Gatos. The Director will work closely with business and cross-functional partners, to advance the company’s business initiatives and continue the evolution of our Privacy Program. This Director role will report directly to the Senior Director of Data Privacy & Security based in Los Gatos.

Program Officer, Center for Digital Economy and Governance, Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE)

CIPE is seeking a full-time, exempt, Washington, D.C.-based Program Officer on the Center for Digital Economy and Governance team. As part of a team reporting to the Program Director, the Program Officer will play a critical role in creating and implementing a strategic vision for an assigned portfolio of projects across the globe. Thematic topics of the portfolio consist of digital transformation and the digital economy, digital rights, information integrity, and other timely issues at the intersection of technology, democracy, and markets.


Open Environmental Data Project Civic Science Fellow

The OEDP Civic Science Fellow will participate in the Civic Science Fellows program. As part of the Fellows program, you’ll be part of a cohort of Fellows who are positioned across different scientific associations, organizations and institutions, providing you with a peer learning group focused on scientific and societal challenges.

OEDP specifically seeks a Civic Science Fellow to focus on open data and environmental data governance. The Fellow will build on opportunities identified by OEDP team members to prototype and pilot ideas, and prepare workshops, training, and curriculum to support environmental data literacy and usability. The overall goal of this position is to collaborate with OEDP team members to develop first-hand experience working across different scales of governance, and to research and develop materials on scientific and information projects.

The ideal person for this position understands that environmental data problems are multifaceted and oftentimes don’t require new technical approaches or products, but rather socialization of ideas and clear opportunities to transform workflows. In this role, the Fellow will pinpoint where changes in existing systems can happen, and imagine a different future for environmental data and information that allows rich social and cultural information to sit alongside data gathered from sensors and other monitoring systems. The Fellow will work with our team to identify 1) where existing datasets need to be translated into more usable formats, 2) the processes, decision-making principles, and tools that can support data’s application in environmental justice and governance, and 3) opportunities for systems redesign.

Program Officer, Technology in the Public Interest, MacArthur Foundation

The Program Officer, Technology in the Public Interest, works with the team’s Director and colleagues on all aspects of the strategy’s grantmaking to ensure its success. The Program Officer will apply their expertise in relevant field(s) to the development and implementation of grantmaking strategies. In this role, the Program Officer will be called upon to deliver in a dynamic and busy environment, and consistently produce high-quality work; build effective peer relationships throughout the Foundation; work with other departments proactively; anticipate potential issues and propose solutions; offer assistance and service to team members; and present ideas for improvement and be able to create a project plan to execute these improvements.
