Theodora Skeadas

Strategic Advisor, Technology Policy

A public policy professional with 10 years of experience at the intersection of technology, society, and safety. I recently worked on Twitter's global Public Policy team, where I managed a range of policy projects on subjects including human rights, disinformation, counter-terrorism, content moderation, safety, public trust, interoperability, and child exploitation.

Concurrently work as the Executive Director of Cambridge Local First, where I support, promote, and celebrate a strong local economy community.

Previously, consulted at Booz Allen Hamilton, where I tackled issues of cyber security and data innovation with U.S. Federal Government agencies. Additionally, I have worked as an independent political consultant, having strategically advised and managed campaigns for Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor and Cambridge City Council, and others.

Graduated from Harvard Kennedy School with a Master in Public Policy, where I studied International Trade and Finance. Beforehand, I spent one year in Turkey on a Fulbright Fellowship, a year working in Morocco with non-governmental organizations, and a summer leading academic, athletic, and arts-based education programs for Palestinian refugee youths with Inspire Dreams in the West Bank.

Graduated from Harvard College in May 2012 with a B.A. in Philosophy and Government, and minors in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations, Modern Standard Arabic, and Modern Greek. I have also studied French, Moroccan Arabic, Spanish, and Turkish.
