Jen Weedon is a trust and safety, security, and responsible AI leader with over 15 years of experience spanning intelligence, product development, and technology policy. She has led global efforts to address some of the most complex online harms, including child safety, human exploitation, influence operations, surveillance, and emerging AI risks, combining operational leadership with long-term strategy.

Most recently, as Head of Red Teaming and Safety by Design at Niantic, Jen led enterprise-wide efforts to surface product vulnerabilities across gaming, augmented reality, and AI-driven experiences. Working closely with product, engineering, and policy teams, she embedded safeguards early in the development lifecycle by bringing together threat analysis, user research, and product design to help organizations get ahead of risks before they scale.

Before Niantic, she held senior leadership roles at Meta spanning threat intelligence and online safety, where she built and scaled capabilities that mitigated complex, fast-moving emerging harms with actionable product and policy interventions. A key part of her work was bridging security, safety, and product teams to develop more integrated approaches to risk and resilience.

Jen is also a lecturer and researcher at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, where she teaches graduate-level coursework on trust and safety and conducts research on red teaming and AI evaluation and public interest AI. She is a Founding Fellow at the Integrity Institute, a member of the Trust and Safety Professional Association, and an academic member of the Global Network Initiative, reflecting her commitment to advancing cross-industry standards and collaboration.

She also serves as an elected School Committee member in Massachusetts, bringing a governance lens to youth safety, digital well-being, and the role of technology in education and communities.
