AI Assurance Ecosystem Workshop held in London on July 17, 2025
All Tech Is Human, in collaboration with techUK and Trilligent, recently brought together influential voices from across the Responsible AI and AI assurance ecosystem for a strategic conversation under Chatham House rule focused on sustained engagement and impact, as well as navigating regulatory frameworks for trustworthy and robust AI systems.
This gathering began with a context-setting panel, featuring leaders who have successfully embedded assurance considerations in boardrooms, media narratives, research agendas, and policy forums, sharing their approaches for maintaining a seat at decision-making tables.
Following this, participants worked together to exchange practical strategies and next steps for effectively communicating assurance priorities across different audiences in the context of the regulatory frameworks being developed across Europe and globally —from executive leadership and investors to journalists, researchers, and policymakers.
The session was aimed at equipping participants with concrete steps for amplifying assurance perspectives, creating compelling narratives, and building the persistence needed to advance responsible AI practices despite shifting attention cycles and political headwinds.
Together, we are working towards figuring out the drivers of and key next steps to develop the AI assurance ecosystem.
The guiding questions during our two breakout sessions were:
How can we transform AI assurance from a compliance exercise into a strategic advantage that resonates with decision-makers across sectors?
How are we navigating the dramatically different regulatory landscapes in the U.S., UK, and EU now?
Which strategies are gaining traction, and what's the business case for adoption?
What approaches (partnerships, narrative techniques) can create sustained momentum for AI assurance that withstands shifting attention cycles and political headwinds?
What concrete next steps will keep AI assurance at decision-making tables?
In particular, we focused on:
Proven approaches for maintaining assurance visibility in corporate governance processes
Media engagement strategies that effectively translate technical concerns into compelling public narratives
Methods for influencing research priorities and funding allocations toward critical assurance questions
Coalition-building techniques for amplifying impact through strategic partnerships
Resilience practices for sustaining advocacy during periods of regulatory uncertainty
Methods for navigating and engaging around fragmented AI regulatory environments, i.e., UK / US / EU policy landscapes with differing requirements
Framework for measuring and demonstrating the business and societal value of robust assurance mechanisms
All Tech Is Human is continuing our work around Responsible AI and AI Governance with additional workshops and gatherings. Do you have an idea you would like to share with us? Are you a potential partner? Reach out to us.
