Responsible Tech London was gathering that brought together together hundreds of people across a wide range of disciplines to co-create a better tech future. It featured panel discussions with diverse perspectives on how to reduce harms against children and the ways the Online Safety Act will shape the internet – and us – moving forward.

Responsible Tech London was organized by All Tech Is Human, in collaboration + support by Crisp, a Kroll Business.

Panel #1: Reducing Harms Against Children (Trust & Safety Focus)
With 75% of children around the world online and more children going online each day, the urgency to ensure that they are safe is ever increasing. With the possibility of children being exposed to cyberbullying, hate speech, and violent content, it is essential that mechanisms are put in place to ensure children are able to browse the internet safely. The panel will examine current and proposed initiatives to reduce online harms against children in a rights respecting manner, both in the UK and globally, including platform policies, legislation, and civil society safety campaigns. Panelists will consider how civil society, parents, youth, platforms, and government can work together to ensure their efforts to promote online safety are complementary and mutually reinforcing while still fostering digital opportunities and online community spaces for all children.
