Steven Kelts

Director, University Network

Steven Kelts is the Director of the Responsible Tech University Network at All Tech Is Human, and a lecturer in Princeton’s Center for Human Values and an affiliate of their Center for Information Technology Policy.  He runs a program called “Agile Ethics,” teaching computer science and engineering majors how to consider ethical issues within their professional workflows.

He is the recipient of a grant from Google to apply findings from this program in corporate environments. Kelts also has led Princeton’s GradFutures initiative on Ethics of AI for the Graduate School, encouraging Ph.D. candidates in all disciplines to apply their expertise in the field of tech ethics, at universities or in corporations. 

His recent research focuses on the special nature of today’s tech firms and their potential for ethical action, including an article in a special issue of IEEE’s Technology and Society Magazine.
