Director of Technology, Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT)

The Director of Technology leads on supporting members to identify and utilize technological solutions, with a focus on maintaining and sustaining critical infrastructure and frameworks for GIFCT and for cross-platform tooling. Responsibilities include overseeing the maintenance and utilization of technical resources such as the hash-sharing initiative, directing incident response protocols, fostering related technology research and working with the Executive Director to develop and implement the organization’s strategic plan.

Key features of the role include working with current and incoming members, managing related technical products, and overseeing the cyber security efforts. Additionally, the position involves building partnerships and working closely with member companies, and serving as a senior representative of GIFCT with industry partners, government officials, and civil society.

The Director is part of GIFCT’s leadership team and acts as the senior technical advisor to the Executive Director and GIFCT team; the Director also has important roles in supporting the development and implementation of the organization’s strategic plan, supporting the Executive Director’s Office on fundraising and organizational initiatives, and mentoring and managing relevant staff members.


Advancement Systems Technical Analyst, Seattle Children’s

Work in a team environment to enhance Seattle Children's Hospital Foundation & Guild Association's technology systems. This position combines proficient technical programming skills and experience in analyzing and integrating with third-party tools to support and extend the needs of end users. This position will develop custom dashboards, reports, and queries that transforms data into actionable insights that lead to more data-driven decision-making. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of CRM customizations, as well as strategizing ways to improve business processes.


Innovation Manager, Knowledge House

The Knowledge House is seeking an Innovation Manager to manage and operationalize initiatives that further Knowledge House’s innovation and learning culture, therefore supporting sustained growth. The main responsibilities of this role will include managing pilot projects, supporting strategic planning, and implementing organizational change communications. This multifaceted position requires strong project management skills, strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Strategy & Innovation, this role will be instrumental in nurturing the organization’s testing and learning muscles through both building processes and managing distinct innovation and/or strategic projects. Your role is to plan, execute, and deliver projects successfully, ensuring they align with organizational goals and drive business outcomes. Furthermore, you will play a key role in communicating strategy and learnings from innovation with the rest of the organization and external stakeholders.


Digital Transformation Programme Officer (Innovation), United Nations

This role is part of the Digital Enablement Team (DET) for UN Peacekeeping, and reports to the Programme Officer (Innovation) P-4, of the Office for Coordination and Shared Services in the Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs and Department of Peace Operations Shared Structure. The DET is tasked with driving the implementation of the Strategy for Digital Transformation of UN Peacekeeping (DTS), which envisages technology as a transformative enabler to directly enhance the safety and security of peacekeepers and improves mandate implementation.


Summer 2024 Internship, Harvard Berkman Klein Center

The Berkman Klein Center’s Summer Internship Program gives interns the opportunity to become deeply embedded within the projects and work happening across the Center. Interns spend the summer months working side-by-side with Berkman Klein staff, fellows, and scholars to keep projects moving forward, learning along the way. Interns will make valuable contributions over the course of the summer, to a wide range of projects based on the Center’s needs and the intern’s skills.


TechGirls Resident Advisor & Group Leader, TechGirls

TechGirls is a U.S.-based summer exchange program designed to empower and support young women (ages 15-17) from the United States and 37 countries around the world to pursue higher education and careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields through hands-on skills development training. TechGirls is an initiative of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and is administered by Legacy International. 


Paid Summer Internship Program, Observer Research Foundation (ORF America)

The Summer Internship Program at ORF America offers students the opportunity for academic, professional, and personal development. Interns will get hands on experience of working at a public policy think tank and will be provided ample opportunities to network and develop new skills and competencies. Working closely with their supervisors, Summer Interns will work on research assistance, the planning and implementation of policy programs, and independent research with guidance from subject matter experts. As integral parts of the team, interns will be immersed in the core activities of the organization.


Product Policy Intern, DoubleVerify

Doubleverify is seeking a Product Policy Intern to contribute to the company’s approach to content classification. The Product Policy Intern will work across content verticals ranging from misinformation and hate speech to crime, violence and disasters. Candidates should have knowledge of or interest in internet policy issues and media regulatory issues and/or law. They should also have excellent writing and analytical skills. 


Executive Director, Access Now

The Executive Director will take the reins of an established organization with a proven track record for achieving results and in its second year of its current five year plan (2022-2027). They will have ultimate responsibility for the delivery of the organizational mission (“to defend and extend the digital rights of people and communities at risk around the world”) and for the success of an ambitious grassroots-to-global program that aims to shift the way that human rights are experienced in the digital age. Additionally, the Executive Director will oversee the growth of the organization, ensure its financial viability through uncertain economic times, and serve as a global leader and ambassador for its diverse team of experts, activists, and technologists. 


Front End Course Designer, Onja

Responsibilities include:

  • Rebuilding the existing course focusing primarily on React while including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript and other related technologies, moving towards a scalable online-style programme. How this can be achieved is very open and will depend on you, another course designer, and some input from the wider team. We imagine it’s likely to include the following:

  • Finding existing online material and incorporate useful material into the course

  • Creating engaging video lectures, learning activities and course content

  • Collaborate with existing Onja lecturers, incorporating their specific experience into your course design.

  • Deciding on the criteria used to assess students’ performance and develop assessments.

  • As we are a startup social enterprise there will likely be opportunities to wear many hats, contributing to other parts of the organisation.
